Prison Ministry
TuneDem has visited 6 prisons in Nairobi since January 2019 and has seen hundreds of decisions for Christ.
They like to give the prisoners an opportunity to sing or play an instrument with the band. This brings them so much joy and receives lots of enthusiasm from the other prisoners and guards.
They encourage these prisoners to sing for the Lord and if the song is good, they then do a professional recording of it for them. This is incredibly encouraging to the inmates!
One of the prisoners that they’d been recording, discipling, and mentoring over the years has officially joined the ministry.
Before his release, the band visited the prison and identified him as one of the talents to pursue. They recorded for him the song “MAMA” and released a video while still in prison.
They have been walking and working with him ever since.
When they do prison ministry they supply the prisoners with food, toiletries, and tents as well as spread the Gospel of Christ by staging free outreach concerts in the central yard of each prison.
